Your information
Fisco Tax Solutions collects personal information for one purpose: to prepare and file your tax returns and to provide the services you have asked for. We do not sell your information, we do not share it for marketing, and we do not use it for anything you have not asked us to do. This page explains what we collect, why, how long we keep it, and how to reach us about it.

Fisco Tax Solutions is a tax preparation practice based in Kitchener, Ontario, owned and operated by Ravinder Kaur. You can reach us at info@fiscotax.ca or 226 751 6720. She is the person responsible for privacy questions about your information.
We only collect what we need to do your return properly. Depending on your situation that may include:
If you contact us through a form on this website, we receive what you typed into that form along with your contact details. The website itself does not require you to create an account, and we do not ask for financial account passwords at any point.
Your information is used to prepare and file your returns, to communicate with you about your file, to represent you with the Canada Revenue Agency where you have authorized us to, and to meet the record-keeping obligations that apply to us as a tax preparer. We do not use it for any other purpose without asking you first.
We share your information only where it is necessary to deliver the service:
We do not sell your personal information, rent it, or share it with anyone for advertising. If we are ever legally required to disclose information, we will only provide what the law actually requires.
Electronic files are kept on password-protected devices and accounts, and returns are transmitted to the CRA through their secure electronic filing system. Paper documents are kept secured and are returned to you or securely destroyed once they are no longer needed. Access is limited to the people who actually need it to work on your file.
Please do not send your Social Insurance Number or banking details through ordinary email or text message. Use our secure upload, or bring the documents in — no form on this website asks for your SIN.
You can also reach us on WhatsApp, which we offer because many of our clients prefer it. WhatsApp messages are encrypted in transit, but anything sent there is also stored on your phone and on ours, and may be copied into whatever photo or message backup your phone uses. For that reason we use WhatsApp for conversation, and ask that you send tax documents through our secure upload, by email, or in person instead.
We keep tax records for at least six years, which is the retention period the Canada Revenue Agency expects for supporting documents. Keeping your history also lets us carry forward amounts such as tuition and RRSP room, and answer questions about earlier years. After that, records are securely destroyed.
This site does not use advertising cookies and does not track you across other websites. We use privacy-focused, cookieless analytics that tell us how many people visited a page — not who they are. Some pages include content from other companies, such as our Google reviews display, our Google appointment booking, and an embedded map; those providers may receive your IP address in order to serve that content, and their own privacy policies apply to it.
Forms on this site are delivered to our inbox through a third-party form service. What you submit goes to us and is not published anywhere publicly.
You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask for a copy of it, ask us to correct anything that is wrong, and withdraw your consent for us to act as your CRA representative at any time. You can also ask us to delete information, though some records must be kept to meet the retention requirements above.
Email info@fiscotax.ca and we will respond as quickly as we can. If you are not satisfied with how we have handled a privacy concern, you have the right to contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
If we change how we handle personal information, we will update this page and change the date at the top. This policy is provided for transparency about our practices and is not legal advice.
Ask us directly — you will speak to a person here, not a call centre.
